Right handed, left thumb damaged....

I wonder if he had a jam, and tried to clear the pistol with his left hand, while his right hand was on the trigger?

As a cadet, I suffered M-1 thumb. Sick with flu at the time. Fainted like a falling timber. MSG Kreitner caught me before my head hit the ground. But nothing as stupid as that with live ammo. LOL!
