    My daughter went to jail because she had no proof of insurance. She had insurance, just didn't have the paperwork to prove she had it. Now she is young and naive and listened to the cop when he said when her court date was. It was also written on the ticket, but that was a different day. Anyway, she missed her court date, the police called me to let me know she had a warrant out for her arrest. I told her to go down and clear things up....she did, and got tossed into jail. No judge was around at 5:30, so she spent the night.

    By your way of thinking, she deserves to die of COVID because she "broke the law."?????

    And I don't think that valuing a human life is a liberal or conservative thing?

    Why not just cut them out from their mom's before we even get them into the system?

    The discussion was about criminal long term prisoners in PRISON.

    Not someone in JAIL for a civil infraction.

    This ranks up there as one of the stupidest conversations on the Lodge. Sure, people should refrain from breaking the law. But if people do break the law and go to prison it doesn’t mean we should treat them as human door mats. I thought the Middle Ages were over.

    None of those things are being done with your blessing (I could be wrong on that though) or at the orders of the state.

    I wonder more than ever about the numbers. My son's weekly quick test came back positive. They told him it's only 60% accurate so has to take another test today to confirm because he has zero symptoms.

    60% accuracy makes me question the media's numbers.
