Wisconsinites - and George - probably know of the Republican Progressive Senator.
But how was his last name pronounced? La FAH lit or La foh LET?
Duh : pronounced Duuh.
I've always heard it pronounced with a hard "oh" and a slight accentuation on the last syllable.
What I would love to see is someone like him or TR emerge to lead the GOP back from the far right, and a Truman-like figure to bring unity to the warring Dems
I went to Robert M La Follette High school. It's La Folit.
