Way to go, Kelly.

"WASHINGTON (AP) — A White House official dismissed Sen. John McCain’s opposition to President Donald Trump’s CIA nominee, saying “it doesn’t matter” because “he’s dying anyway,” two people in the room told The Associated Press.

Kelly Sadler was discussing McCain’s opposition to Trump’s pick for CIA director, Gina Haspel, at a staff meeting on Thursday when she made the comment, according to the two people. They were not authorized to discuss internal deliberations and spoke to AP on condition of anonymity.

The White House did not dispute the remark. In a statement, they said, “We respect Senator McCain’s service to our nation and he and his family are in our prayers during this difficult time.”

The Hill newspaper first reported the comment...",-says-'he's-dying'

'...Speaking on the ABC show “The View,” which she co-hosts, Meghan McCain said she wanted to inform Sadler that her father’s battle with brain cancer has made her realize the meaning of life was “not how you die, it is how you live.”

“I don’t understand what kind of environment you’re working in when that would be acceptable, and then you can come to work the next day and still have a job,” McCain said...

...Several of McCain’s fellow Republicans on Capitol Hill have condemned Sadler’s remarks.

Jeff Flake, Arizona’s other senator and a frequent critic of the White House under Trump, tweeted an article about the comments and wrote: “There are no words.”

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst tweeted that the United States should “treat this war hero and his family with the civility and respect they deserve.”

Democratic former Vice President Joe Biden said in a statement: “People have wondered when decency would hit rock bottom with this administration. It happened yesterday.” ...'

Keep your stinkin' government hands off my Medicare.

That was pretty bad. But it was an offhand remark, and she has since apologized.

But it wasn't nearly as bad as this:

"Instead of any of those options, McInerney chose to attack McCain in just about the worst possible way: “Well, she can’t use it anymore because we’ve determined — the Congress — that it’s not legal. The fact is, is John McCain — it worked on John. That’s why they call him ‘Songbird John.’”

One of the ironies of McInerney’s comment is that his example makes the opposite argument he thinks it does; McCain gave his captors a lot of false information and nonsense. Asked the names of the men in his squadron, he listed the names of the Green Bay Packers offensive line. When forced to sign a confession, McCain “deliberately used misspellings, grammatical errors, and Communist jargon to show he was writing under duress.""

This---I've seen enemies treat their foes with more respect than is dealt here among countrymen

Funny you mention McCain and the view. They roasted her on there the other day because she stood up for pulling out of the Iran deal. According to Whoopi, paying terrorists "it's just what we do now" And the crowd goes wild! You can't make this stuff up.

Trump puts the lie to the claim that "you can't make this stuff up". Put simply: Yes he can!
