I figured time for something different.

Got myself to 197.8 lbs. - down about 20 lbs. (maybe a little more) since April.

Just short of 195 lbs. goal at 5' 11"

Owing to some unfortunate circumstances, I have ballooned up a bit. This thread can help keep me accountable.

currently sitting at about 220. 195 would be perfect.

    Keto

Actually more like Keto-lite since my wife cooks whatever she wants, is absolutely no help and starts complaining once I get below 210. That's why 20 lbs took nearly a year.

Indiana girls like their men big.

I have the same issue. the wife likes me bigger than I want to be.

Keto doesn't work for me (which is not to say Keto doesn't work generally, because it does). I've tried it a few times. Almost impossible to lift heavy on Keto. Fat as a quick-access energy source isn't as good as carbs.

I wouldn't know about that. Don't think it interfered with BJJ, not that I'm anything but just barely past the complete beginner phase.

Great work, Steven. I’m sure the BBJ is really helping with your metabolic rate, too.

Sherb, get in the front of the boat!

I’m up to 195 which is completely unacceptable for my skinny 6’-0” frame. Skiing is so anaerobic it it doesn’t help. Also, I still eat (appetite-wise) like I did when I was in my 20’s. And beer is yummy.

LOL. It's BJJ. I don't want to think what BBJ might stand for.

Beer is yummy, but I've been sticking to Miller Lite (that's kind of like beer).

I was going to suggest trying any of the "lite beers". From there it's an almost unnoticeable segue to stale carbonated water.

Just trying to be helpful. :)

Speaking of flavored water, do you guys see this stuff in your grocery stores?

I never saw it in Chicago. Now I basically live on it.

Yes. They sell it all over the gas stations in WI. I buy it once in a while.

Ughh. I was in the shape of my life a year ago. Crazy what a year of complacency can do. Thanks for the reminder.

My wife loves that stuff - I can't stand it.
