Interesting take on unintended consequences
We know that there are always unintended consequences when we posit easy solutions to complex problems. This is one I didn't see coming, though in hindsight I should have.

It does indeed, although I - and I'm sure many others - saw this coming and am surprised that no one pushing it did. I guess ideology blinds one to common sense, witness both trickle-down and Marxist economics when taken outside the realm of theoretical debate.
I don't know...Shouldn't this be something the employer knows before making a hiring decision. Past history = future history???

Simple solution: Don't do drugs.

Few years ago they had to fire a guy in a management position where I work. Somehow he thought being hopped on meth and driving an ATV illegally through national forest land was a good idea.
