Are You as Sad as Me?

.........

That NASCAR is dying a slow death, won't be long 'till all the sponsors go somewhere else....Indy? No, they are already there.

my tears flow
I find the assault on free thought disturbing,
I find the willingness to give it up frightening.

For numerous reasons they say. For me it was never "alive"...so...

I have nothing to watch anymore, the mixed martial art genre is crap....I am really only interested in art and real martial arts these days.

My only real viewing pleasure is Forged in Fire, Into The Badlands and Master Chef Jr. Those kids are great, too bad most will grow into adults.

I know nothing about STO, but I agree that driving in circles sucks.

NO. (oh look, here come the cars again! Do you think they will crash soon?)

Crashes are what it's all about right?

I hope that you noticed the sarcasm.

I didn't realize NASCAR was on the decline. Maybe there is hope for the Republic after all?

From the outside, kinda seems that way. But mostly it seems to be about drinking. Well, a lot of activities are that way.

Used to, the drivers and fans rolled up to the race in the same cars, which were also the same cars that were on the track.

Nowadays, you have drivers that arrive by jet or helicopter, and I know good and **** well most of them couldn't tell a carburetor from a coil pack.

They've lost touch with their base.

Same thing with country music. I swear, the majority of songs written in the last few years talked about how country they are, how much they love a dirt road, or drinking beer around a fire.

Bull. If you have to TELL me you're country, you ain't country. Give me a Chris Stapleton or Sturgill Simpson over any act currently playing on your local station.

"Madmen" could be sad about the demise of billboards turning left. And those who watch just for the crashes, perhaps 90%+ of the fans.

    Just sayin'.

I'm afraid I was born 100 years too late. Dudes kissing dudes... Fat women worried about getting their p**** grabbed when they should be in the kitchen or flat on their back, either birthing a child or making a new one... Taking a quarter of my pay to finance 4 old people I'm not even related to...

NASCAR sucks. Road racing is where it is at. Laguna Seca, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Isle of Man TT. Or rally racing.

Track racing where driving skills, suspension and steering count, such as Formula 1, especially the few Grands Prix that still are road races - like Monaco.

A friend of mine had tickets and invited me to one once. A horrible afternoon almost went broke buying enough alcohol so I could sleep through the race.
