    Not really my style of music either, but EL&P and King Crimson had their place in the arc of English art rock and represented a memorable point in time. Sip poured.

    To me, ELP was pretentious self-indulgence. I think that sort of music was done best by a Swede, Björn J:Son Lindh. But that's just my opinion.

    The first two or three albums weren't too bad, Brain Salad Surgery and after I would agree on the self indulgence. They certainly weren't for everyone. That first King Crimson album was their only good one.
