California National Guardsment to pay back re-enlistment bonuses

over a decade after they re-enlisted. A DECADE. Some of these bonuses were $15000.

This makes me sick...

    yeah. I understand that the Pentagon is trying to be accountable for funds that were promised/given perhaps incorrectly, but the soldiers who signed up are not at fault for that. Hopefully the Pentagon lawyers and bean counters walk this one back.

    This is messed up, these guys signed up in good faith.

    I agree on all counts. If there was subterfuge on the soldiers' parts, I can understand trying to get the money back. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

    Tell Halliburton to pay back their no-bid contracts if you want to recoup some $.
