There won't be one like it for awhile. A "supermoon," harvest moon, full eclipse and the fourth in a series of eclipses (tetrad).
none of which are distinguishable in a photograph, from every other eclipse. ;-)
I was driving home from a photo shoot at the ocean, so missed most of it. I stopped at the top of one of the cross-Cascade passes to observe it for a while and when I got out of the truck I could hear a number of elk, bugling in the forest nearby (within a couple hundred yards, I'd guess). THAT was pretty darn cool, I must admit......

funny
But it'll be awhile before all those things come together again. I think the next so-called supermoon, eclipse is in 2033. I haven't looked it up, but when all those things line up may be centuries from now.

Crooow:This music would work better with women in bikinis shaking all over the place. I guess that's true of any music really.
not only clear skies, but instead of being down here at home at 300 feet above sea level, I was up in the mountains at nearly 4,000 feet -- sky's a bit clearer up there.
other than the road noise and a near-miss with a large cow elk, it was a nice night. While I was taking the photo of the moon, the elk were sounding off in the nearby forest and it was quite mesmerizing.....
I live so close to the mountains that are to the east that the moon didn't rise over them until the eclipse was just waning from full. It was very red here.

Too many people running cheater chips, polluting the air and clouding your view.
