Speaking of Fiats, what do you guys think of the newish Fiat 500? My wife thinks it's 'cute' but I am of the firm opinion that it is a POS. Stick to food and wine, my Italian friends!
My friend has the sporty version. I drove it to Vegas. I gotta say that although I would never own one, I like it.

A friend has a new Fiat 500. It's fun to drive but too small for everyday use if you carry stuff or often will be on highways and Interstates. They have not sold well so they are going at really substantial discounts.
BTW - the new small Jeep is based on the larger car sold as the 500L here in the USA. Elsewhere, Fiat sells a butched-up "outback" version of it that gets good reviews.

Nothing wrong with the licensed Fiat design - it was the crappy assembly that made it junk. Sort of like American and English cars in the '70s.
