Only if you're more devious in your rule breaking. Bullfrog!

    They all do it.

David Cone and Al Leiter did the Yankees play-by-play. While not exactly saying that Piñeda was an idiot, they let you know that only a fool would put it in a visible spot. They both admitted using either the back of the belt or their waistbands to conceal the pine tar.

If not for TV cameras would anyone have ever spotted the earlier use of dirt or another team's use of sunscreen. It's close to armchair officials in golf but not quite as bad.

He should have just brought the 5-gallon bucket and set it behind the mound. That would have been less conspicuous. What a moran.

Seriously. Who hasn't rubbed a little pine tar on the neck? Who among us is clean?

Try some in your coffee to get a better handle on your day.

farrell basically said no biggee and cut him a pass last time

this was just dumb....but, looking at how the kid wears his hat....totally expected

how does girardi let this happen?

simple solution....when they mud the balls up pre game.... add a little tack, level the playing field

my gut: MLB told Farrell he had no choice if it was this obvious

On the hat we agree, but not with Hex.

If MLB scenario is true I think it actually is an issue then. I do find the whole be a better cheater argument to be funny. It sucks from a rotation stand point with Nova's injury. That is the only part that upset me.

    True and ha!!!

I think Farrell had to point it out. It was so stupidly obvious as to be brazen.
