Forget Zepplin and any Twist....

...this was a twist. This is one of my very favorite songs of all time. No one can come close to what Etta put into simply. I've heard good impersonations but they have always fallen short, too much, too little, but mostly no real soul.

This however is an great arrangement and performance. After this I thought the LZ tribute was ok.

hang on for Bonnie Raitt afterward.

But one question, what the hell is Jeff Beck thinking with that dyed black hair?
I find the assault on free thought disturbing,
I find the willingness to give it up frightening.

Beck sure is the king of whammy bar. I saw him in '76 when he was playing with Jan Hammer. He had black hair then too...

Moved to Montana, gonna be a dental floss tycoon.

Jeff Beck is tremendously underrated as a guitarist, for sure.
  • When I got his latest album I must have listened to it about a dozen times before moving on to something else.

I have always respected Beck's playing, however with exceptions I have never cared that much for his music.
