SA Textured Fly Lines

Have anyone fished the new SA textured line? What do you think?

I'm currently a Rio fan, but have fished SA's Mastery and Sharkskin lines. Any comparisons will be appreciated.

Miracle of miracles!! I just got an email from Scientific Anglers touting their new textured lines, now with "Dry Tip Technology".

If you're familiar with SA Sharkskin, this is a play on the same theme. It is less harsh on the fingers and makes less noise but still shoots better than smooth lines. Still pricey but in line with other premium lines. I'll eventually have it on most of my reels.

Back in the '50s and '60s "longer, lower, wider" was Detroit's mantra with each new model year. Flyfishing gear is pretty much the same, a gradual improvement over time but with new "revolutionary" products hyped every year or two.

How much better can any new item be than an old Orvis unsanded Superfine, a Cortland 444 or a Winston LT?
The GOP big tent now is the size of a pup tent, its floor splattered with guano.
