Long time fly fishing advocate, Dr. John Wylie passed away Monday night. The Lansing, Michigan area surgeon had served on the boards of the Red Cedar Fly Fishers, the Great Lakes Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers, and the board of the Anglers of the Au Sable. He and his wife spent their retirement years at their home on the North Branch of the Au Sable. Last September, at their annual river cleanup, Dr. Wylie was awarded the Anglers of the Au Sable's "Riverkeeper" award.
