Could this be the end......
....of the money system? The coronavirus would not collapse an energy system as it threatens to do to the money economy. How long can the government print trillions of dollars and distribute it to jobless people and failing buisnesses like the hospitals that can't afford the equipment they need to fight the virus?

Yup, the collapse is coming. Afterwards everything will be free!
No Ed. Go back to playing your broken record.
Toilet paper is the credit. Those that have horded it will be the new rich.
The money crisis is not as bad as it seems, it's worse.
yeah.
I don't know why I feel compelled to respond. Maybe its the tastelessness of it? Never let an economic collapse go to waste, so long as it advances my pet project?
Ed,
Add this to your playlist today. You can listen to it as many times as you want.
My tasteless pet project for years has been trying to warn people that the money system will eventually collapes and an alternative should be available to transition to in order to avoid the present impending chaos, only to be met with ridicule. It's time to get serious.

It won't be the end. Even if it is the end of the system you are referring to (not bloody likely) something will replace it. People will be paid with something for their services. What ever that payment is will be the new "money."

Contrary to what you may believe Ed...Our only hope out of this is capitalism and the good will of good people.
Well-tied dry flies of aquatic insect forms made only with natural materials would be an excellent means of wealth and exchange in a moneyless economy. Otherwise, Price controls of $2.30 per fly would control inflation. Some here would become essential to the recovery. Energy credits are dependent on technology to make and use energy and subject to value volatility just like money.
Doesn't Sherb nymph? He'll be broke.

Has Karl Rove been indicted yet?
There is an unlimited amount of convertable energy available, therefore no value assignment necessary.
Sunshine = money? Yay!
If we all gave our energy credits to covid would it go away?
Yet there is not an unlimited amount of toilet paper. However from what I can tell at my local grocery store, there does seem to be an unlimited supply of diet frozen dinners and pineapple pizza.
You make it sound like that is a good thing.
Sunshine which is unlimited makes a money value system obsolete. An energy system is a scientific measurement of how much energy in the form of goods and services is used and where inventory needs to be replaced.
Hmmm, gas is energy, so I'll switch to a bean diet and become a bazzillionAIR.
It's not looking good.
