    My first job out of the service was with EDS.

    My first job out of college was with EDS. Absolutely Byzantine personnel policies.
    Ex: my boss was told to throw a Christmas party for his department, he asked how much to spend and was told it would violat company policy to tell him.

    I might also add that I nearly knocked the poor man through a plate glass window one afternoon in 1979, He got up, dusted himself off, said, "sorry," and hurried on his way, but his entourage glared at me like I was Uncle Ho himself.

    They wanted you to be a good EDSer. It was all kind of cult like. I didn't work out, my fault young, poor work habits.
