    Perhaps. But maybe it was a valid response to his comment "write a book and you too can be a millionaire". I'm not convinced it is anti-Semitic.

    Is this some sport of False Flag gray opp? By pretending to defend Bernie, O draws attention to his wealth and helps his leftist challengers. Without her complaint none of us might have heard of this issue.

    It is not like Politico is a small town publication. The only reason why no attention was drawn to it, is because he is a Democrat.

    BTW they have been talking about the fact he was a millionaire the minute he became one. Like if he is a millionaire, he is a hypocrite. The thing is liberals do not hate the wealthy. They hate the fact that even in a "booming" economy most people cannot afford a sudden $400 expense.

    Not too surprisingly the left doesn't get the difference between pointing out a Jewish guy who is rich (despite the irony of being a self proclaimed socialist) and claiming that rich Jews secretly control the government like Omar did.

    Or maybe the left does, but needs a gotcha to hold the Jewish vote and Jewish donors.

    She never claimed Rich Jews control the government. She claimed that a powerful lobbying organization had undue influence and that a party that brings in a foreign leader to chastise a sitting present before a joint session of congress, has questionable loyalties. It is that influence that causes us to continue to give Israel billions of dollars in aid that they do not need and make it impossible to be an honest broker for peace in the Middle East. Both are valid criticisms. And there is no secret to any of this, it is right there out in the open.

    Maybe Bernie is extremely frugal because he grew up poor?

    Let's suppose Bernie wasn't Jewish. Would this still be a story? Would there still be a money tree in the picture. I think the answer is yes to both.

    Cheap is a very common anti-Semitic accusation. Why does Politico get the benefit of the doubt and not the Muslim?

    I have been saying that what Politico did was not anti-Semitic. However you can still make the same stretch with their statements as you can Oman's.

    I have been around prejudice and bigotry long enough in my lifetime to recognize it for what it is and these attacks are about her being a Muslim. It also happens to be a convenient way to ignore her concerns and shut her down.

    We've all been around bigotry our entire lives. Big deal. It doesn't make you an expert on anti-Semitism any more than it makes me an expert on racism against African Americans.

    Everything else you posted is just sheer nonsense. I couldn't care less that she's Muslim or keeps her head covered.

    It being "all about the Benjamins" and questioning the allegiance of American supporters of Israel is well past the line and hardly subtle.

    The article does a great job of pointing out that Sanders grew up broke as hell, that his parents constantly had drag out fights over money, how he could barely make ends meet until he became mayor, etc., etc. Perfectly good examples of why anybody would have an extremely frugal mindset. Nothing anti-Semitic in this and could be used to explain anybody. The article even points out that his mindset was very much in-line with other Vermonters - who presumably aren't Jewish.

    Had the article stated, "like many Jews, Bernie is extremely cheap," that would have been anti-Semitism. But the article makes it clear that it wasn't his Jewishness that makes him cheap but his circumstances.

    FWIW, if the Dems brought in Justin Trudeau, I'd laugh my **** off. He's not a serious person nor a policy expert.
