Can anyone offer some insight?

Hello,

I am contemplating a ride to Colorado this summer. I ride a V-Star 1100 and have gotten conflicting stories on how the higher altitudes will affect my carbuerated bike. Is this something I need to worry about? I live and ride mostly at sea level, or a little above, and haven't done any mountain rides yet. If I go, it will be to Colorado Springs, Which I believe around 6000 feet (Wrider?). I may ride higher into some of the adjacent mountains. Can anyone offer some insight?
.
Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
