Wisconsinites - and George - probably know of the Republican Progressive Senator.

But how was his last name pronounced? La FAH lit or La foh LET?

    Duh : pronounced Duuh.

I've always heard it pronounced with a hard "oh" and a slight accentuation on the last syllable.

What I would love to see is someone like him or TR emerge to lead the GOP back from the far right, and a Truman-like figure to bring unity to the warring Dems

I prefer the appellation given by my US history professor.

    "battlin' Bob"
