help me part out my Prius

My wife is hosting a bridal shower in a couple of weeks and I need to haul this eyesore away. What do you suggest?

Engine is good and it has a new hybrid battery. I don't think the vehicle is valuable enough to repair the body damage and undercarriage. Ideas?

My approach to this decision is to compare the cost of repairing/repainting it amortized over the expected life, to the cost of either car payments or the opportunity cost of paying cash for a new(er) vehicle. If it being an eyesore is an only issue park it in a supermarket or Walmart lot and have your wife ferry you back to the ranch until the shower is over.

OTOH, if you're really lusting for an 800+ HP Ram pickup truck this equation is of no help. :)

Dude, it's a Prius. Scratch off the vin # and run it into a ditch somewhere. Or leave it in front of JD's. Hahaha.

I'm not sure of the circumstances behind this wrecked car...but any reason the insurance company isn't taking it off your hands?

Assuming the car is totaled? Or is it still driveable but looks like crap?

Yeah, I didn't make a claim. I didn't want my insurance to go up.

Its driveable, but I'm sure that there's some front end damage and yes, it looks like crap.

    I'll post a pic.

    I get that.

Row me down your favorite river and I'll come take it away with my truck.

It might be worth the money to tow it back to the old town house and abandon it there.

Call your local NPR station. Many of them take cars as donations.
