It happens but so far this summer it has been pretty rainy. There is plenty of water and temperatures are fine.

It's happening here. There are a bunch of rivers that have hoot owl restrictions, no fishing from 2:00pm until after midnight. I suspect there will be more. The Bitterroot which is by me is as low as I've seen it but so far no restrictions yet.

No restrictions yet, just a suggestion to fish from Midnight to 2:00PM.

I know the lower sections of the Madison (below Ennis Lake) were under hoot owl restrictions even 3 weeks ago when I passed through. But it may have been voluntary as my wife was checking fishing conditions of places as I was driving from northern ID towards Island Park.
If anyone wants a pretty drive, take 287, the two lane highway from Wrst Yellowstone up to Butte. Awesome country. I'd never been too far past Quake Lake before and didn't know what I was missing.

Y'all mean the temperatures actually get so hot the managers won't allow fishing?

Here in FL folks stop on their own...

Two for one Lime-a-Ritas at the **** bar will shut down just about any other activity in Florida.

Eh, very few folks bother with Lime-A-Ritas except in tourist traps.

Colorado streams are still chugging along, and monsoon rains are adding to the flow. Wading is still an adventure in many sections. But the fish are cool, if tired of fighting current. I guess we should be happy for the flow.
