We're planning a trip to Scotland in a couple of months, and because of Trump's Bad Week stocks are down and the dollar has lost it's post election gains.

Thanks Obama.

    I was hoping for Iceland.

They keep dropping and dropping today, what Wall Street is losing confidence in little Donnie?

Edit - I too am way up in investments, but my overseas trip is going to be a lot more expensive than had the exchange rates stayed where they were a week or so ago.

As for stocks, wait and see and remember to keep some of your money in cash or govt. bonds. :(

Actually I do need to start thinking about doing that. I'm planning to pull the plug in 10 years.

The Original Most Interesting Man in the World never retires. He can be found on a coup mission in South America one week, wooing Parisian beauties the next.

A long time. Since 1995 from the Foreign Service, since 2004 from consulting, p/t work (including in a fly shop) and a "second career" developing civil service exams, mostly work simulations and oral exams. Life is good.

I retired in 2005, they asked me to come back and "double dip- pension plus max salary and benefits" but I just wasn't interested. You're right, life is good..
