Can our political system get any worse?

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/46020.htm

Trump is the sick expression of a dysfunctional political system and mass culture that celebrate the most depraved aspects of human nature—greed, a lust for power, a thirst for adulation and celebrity, a penchant for the manipulation of others, dishonesty, a lack of remorse and a frightening pathology in which reality is ignored. He is the product of our escapist world of constant entertainment. He embodies the mutation of values in American society that has culminated in an enormous cult of the self and the abandonment of the common good.

Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.

ED - Even your sources get it right once in a while, at least in the paragraph you quote.
Keep your stinkin' government hands off my Medicare.

    Ed,

Our political system could get worse--among other things the government is not assassinating journalists or political opponents yet.

But, I agree with George that your source's description of the current state of affairs is accurate.

If this is true, then Technocracy has no chance.

Yes. Move to another country for a year (any country) and report back.

No thanks, I live in this country and I am dismayed that we are becoming as bad as other countries. If we change to an energy based society, our decline could be reversed.

What proof do you have that backs up this claim?

I have no proof, only the common sense ideas of Technocracy Inc. Most if not all the problems in our society are related to money, millions of people without healthcare or homes or jobs, environmental degradation caused by our use of fossil fuels, a criminal foreign policy caused by the monetary need to control the oil and gas and other resources around the world in order to maintain the money system. An energy system would provide the physical needs and most of the wants of the people of North America without having to compromise their moral values in the pursuit of money.

Ed, can I be chief engineer for providing the energy for our new energy system? I have a foolproof methodology to harness the stupidity of sea cucumbers and convert to pure power! It's apparently a limitless source.

It can't be proven until it is implemented. Why don't you want to hear ideas that are different than what already exists?
