    Not exactly. While they may use some mil-surplus parts, the trigger, receiver, and other parts are all new and made expressly for semi-auto rifles. I think Kalashnikov USA is building ones of the semi-auto pattern.

    I haven't read the article, but I've got a feeling Kalashnikov USA is doing this in part to get around the embargo of Russia.
