I really want some Allen Edmonds shoes. That's the final hole in my wardrobe. I'm wearing cheap JcPenny Stacy Adams and I'm so ashamed.

    You really wouldn't like 'em anyway--they have a leather sole and slip like crazy on hog doin's. Literally the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. It's funny, they're made about two miles from my house and I haven't worn a pair since the early 90's.

    As a died-in-the-wool shoe and jacket ****, I endorse this thread.

    I need to move somewhere with a colder year-round climate so I can wear light jackets 8 to 9 months of the year.

    By the way, I recommend Gold Toe socks. Always, always, always, always make sure you buy "over the calf." Nobody wants to look at your white hairless legs when you sit down.

    I've always worn calf length socks. Can't stand the way ankle socks feel. My wife forces me to wear them with sneakers though.

    I thought you didn't wear black shoes with blue.

    Hell yes. Can't have an unfashionable Buffy runnin' around.
    And I agree that brown shoes with blue is better, though not necessary.

    This one of those rare instances in which the answer is not "42". The answer is Cordovan. Cordovan goes with everything, even white woolens or linen in a pinch.
