If you do, tell me a story about your impressions and uses.

I bought one in 2010 specifically for the purpose of filming my rappell down the Rainier Bank Tower in Seattle (as part of a fund raiser for Special Olympics). The video from that event is here:

Since then I haven't used it very much (I don't do that much that's interesting enough) but have used it briefly for my polar bear plunge (the water was too cloudy/muddy to get any good underwater images), and my son used it for a Spartan race he participated in.

Image quality in bright light is good. I've tried using it for roller derby (mounting it on the helmet of a ref) and indoors the image quality is not as good. But still acceptable depending on the use.

The camera appears to be all but indestructible, though I did have some seepage when I went underwater -- could have been from the fact that the water temp was 34 degrees F.

    Shrinkage, you know?

the audio capabilities are limited. But it'll pick up sounds NEAR the camera well enough to hear you cussing when you realize you're about to break your neck doing something stupid.

it comes with a variety of mounting hardware but chances are good you'll still need to improvise at some point.

Nice thanks. Is your "Fishing with Vern" also filmed using the gopro?

Thanks for the insight... I"m looking at a newer model that seems like it has better resolution (specifically the Hero3 Silver).... unless the resolution of your videos is a function of how you uploaded to youtube or a setting on your gopro?

You should have just purchased a waterproof camera and gotten in touch with your inner redneck
