    Sally Hansen

I tied up some chironomids and coated them with Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails. The smell got me to thinking that the fish have got to notice it. Anybody have opinions on whether this would affect catch rates?

I agree and I hope we are right. I coated all of mine for durability and the sheen..

No impact been using it since 1987 on flys for most freshwater species, IMHO

What smell? (asks a 55 year smoker). Seems to me the smell goes away as it dries.
