    Is a BWO some sort of fancy-man bobber?

    BWO stands for blue wing olive mayfly.

    A number of genii fit the bill of having an olive body and gray wings that are almost bluish. Most prevalent in Southwest Wisconsin is genus Baetis.

    No catfish. Only went deep once and connected.

    Pink Squirrel off the tippet with a SJW trailing. Took the squirrel.

    SJW = San Juan Worm

    As Bob W. (aka Driftless, aka Nimrod) once told me, "Generations of Wisconsin farm boys have fished worms after it rains. So should you."

    The Baetis bears a striking resemblance to a tungsten bead and a Pheasant tail. Its uncanny.

    I'm practically there. Ask Joe K, George, Steven, Butner or any of these other dry-fly-or-die purists.

    This hasn't been a fishing board since 2007.

    I'll go slumming with you anytime. Do you throw your beer cans into the water, or do you fill them up with water first so they'll sink?
