    Mega Ant Colony

How do I get rid of it? It probably covers an area of 8ft X 9ft, maybe a mile deep. Tried all kinds of things last year and they were far less active. But now they are set to take over the world. Small backhoe and a flame thrower?

Did a Borax/sugar mix did a good job last year (I thought), the sugar makes it stick and will then taken down deep. This year I jet hosed some depth and covered with Borax, now three gallons of vinegar. The wife is picking up a few more gallons. Some nasty chemical something gel she is looking for. It's taken down deep, but most of the ants will die before getting there. Corn meal is a good killer. They eat it, take it down but usually explode before they get there. Too bad it doesn't work like that on some humans.

I'd be going myself but the cardiologist said I am not allowed to do anything. I can pour nasty chemicals though. I feel like a war criminal. ha

I keep hearing about diatomaceous earth. It's environmentally safe and takes care of ants and other pests.

It's great for keeping them contained, I've used it for slugs, but it won't kill the queen.

A mixture of fine sand and a good vodka spread around. The ants get drunk, raucous, and end up stoning each other to death.

We had some small ant invasions in our driveway cracks. We got rid of them with boiling water. Worth a try or are they too deep?

I'm doing battle with the wasps tomorrow.

I like the way you think. But I'd give them rail gin.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow, Ants will move up close to the surface to get a way from flooding. That's when you nail them with boiling water. I will be using boiling water on the smaller nests. Burn Baby Burn!
