    Three weeks of language training at Coronado Beach Naval Station in 1966 prior to going to Viet Nam. We had six hours of class each day and were free the other 18 hours SEALS in training were lucky to get three hours sleep and ran everywhere, including running in plave while lining up for anything.

    I was a PFC and managed to escape Tiajuana unscathed, visiting the Blue Fox but not venturing anywhere near the chow line, but one of my Lts. was mugged and robbed nearby. I had to lend him bus fare back and was sworn to secrecy at the risk of permanent KP. The fishing was good around Coronado Beach, I caught my first snook there.
