Her shoes wet...we're talking about her shoes wet...we're not talking about a physical handicap, we're talking about her shoes getting wet.

    You snowflakes see the difference?
Maybe the shoes were the first nice pair she ever had.
Maybe she spend all her spare money buying them.
I'm saying the manager is an asshole for the way he handled it..

Here's an idea...put plastic bags around them. It's a freaking grocery store. Or check your damn phone for weather before you leave the house.

huh. Does this courtesy extend to the customers too, or should we just expect them to haul out their own groceries?

I mean, her shoes might get wet, and they are her only nice pair.

By the way, maybe the manager was having a bad day.

Maybe his kid has cancer. Maybe his wife left him. Maybe the car battery died. Maybe...maybe...maybe...

Yes. But it does not require public humiliation. Captain Queeg is not a good role model.

Okay, the store is swamped and they are short handed and the guy is doing the job of 3 people. He's supposed to walk her over to the office and be nice to her while customers are waiting? No, he handled it correctly for the situation.

I would have yelled at her right on the spot for being a brat (yes, she's a brat).

But I probably would have apologized later. That's just me.
