He should probably glance at the procedural history of the case first.

Trump's pardon would be Ali's stain.

Didn't the court overturn the decision on Ali? Is there anything to pardon?

Why would Kadet Bone Spurs pardon somebody who said he was a conscientious objector?

Wasn't it in `1973 that the the supremes unanimously turned over his conviction? I even remember that and I hardly remember anything.

Can't wait until he hires that FOX news/TV judge to replace Rudy, or maybe name her to the supreme court. Then we will finally see some justice in this country. oops time to get to work.

I find the assault on free thought disturbing,
I find the willingness to give it up frightening.

Perhaps he will pardon the Supremes for preempting him.

You - and probably everyone else here - would enjoy reading "Supreme Courtship" by Christopher Buckley. (Siring him was the best thing William F. ever did.)

I know but....No, the real joke has not yet come to fruition.
I really fear for the justice department and the separation of powers.

The job of the justice department, as explained to me, it to defend federal law, now they have moved into
    policy" making."

that would be interesting George, unfortunately I can't read very much until my brain takes a hike. I sure hope I can read again soon, or rather, have the desire to.

I read it and enjoyed it. I could see Trump doing something like that.

First thing crossed my mind was which Ali and pardon him for what? Yeah...I was here in the 60s....we had television and there were magazines everywhere I went....but....there's been lots of Ali's lately...and many of them have done lots of things...including 'the' Ali many Americans of a certain age were probably first and most prominantly made aware of....even before he changed his name...not criticizing you...just saying that's what went through my mind first.....I think I've moved on from Trump.....I'm like that with a lot of things....my interests wax and wane...I take something up or take interest in something and acquire or achieve what I wanted or needed and I drop it and move on....I experience something for a while and get bored or tired of it and I'm gone...been there, don't that' still have a stack of plastic memento beer cups and a t-shirt (literally or figuratively) in a drawer or box or corner of my brain to mark it and prove it...

I've gotten what I wanted out of Trump....got everything I wanted the moment he was elected! Without spelling it out its obvious it wasn't anything he did or could have done that I was after....its some of the results and outcomes of him simply having been elected that I wanted....

Done! Don't personally want or need him anymore. Trust the three houses of federal government, federal-state dicisions of power, the constitution and amendments, the supreme court, short term and continuous election cycles, etc to take care of us now. Well...as best as they can.....as we all know they aren't prefect or sufficient...and sometimes create the problems....especially when the factions in US Society elect pandering demagogues .....mob rule....as it is.
