If you're having static problems in this cold, dry air, try rubbing your vise head, scissors blades, and bobbin tube with a dryer sheet. It seems to keep the itty bitty hairs from sticking to everything.

    In our household, such things are scent-free. Tying rooms should smell like dead things and head cement thinner.

    Also works on deer hair to settle it down before stacking and spinning. Just run the dryer sheet from base to tips before cutting it from the hide.
