fished well-known places with nobody but the critters
this one required a bit of a slog but the big bugs were still doing it in the willows

surprised we had this to ourselves but the bear hauling **** back and forth across the meadow may have had something to do with it

IMAG0037.jpg

IMAG0035.jpg

fished a lot of little blue lines that nobody else bothered with; if I could hit the water with a hopper (not always a sure thing) I was in business:

this one had browns and biting flies

    Very nice trip report.

I'm surprised there haven't been more comments. Thanks for sharing the photos and trips with us.

Thanks Scott. I think I recognize some of those spots.

    SC,

Yeah, I know we fished some of the same water this year. Your fish were bigger, though. :)

Awesome photos - I live in Bozeman and sometimes it is hard to get farther than the Madison and Yellowstone with so much good fishing in between but the Park is a special place and the many small waters are always a treat to have to yourself if you work a bit to get off of the beaten path!
